Nearly all sub-$25 entries are electronic authorisations (ESTA, eTA, ETA, K-ETA): online forms, minutes to days, multi-year validity. Traditional stickers and interviews start around $100+ — a different league of cost and hassle.
Authorisation is not admission — border officers decide entry everywhere. Apply through official domains only (esta.cbp.dhs.gov, canada.ca/eTA, gov.uk); third-party 'visa services' mark up free-or-cheap filings.
